I love this T-shirt! I can't stand when people say Holiday party or Holiday card, it's Christmas!!! That is the whole reason for the holiday season in the first place, CHRISTmas! These shirts are being sold at the church I attend as well as can be found at www.WarriorofGodDesigns.com
Jesus is the reason for the season!!!!

G-Ma Tweed

It's amazing what the iphone can do!! This awesome sketch of my Grandma Tweed was provided by my brother Andy! I think about my Grandma often and it's so sad to think I won't see her again for a very long time. She was such a unique and strong individual!

Transition Time Again...

(Art courtesy of my cutie pie nephew Gage)
I have 5 weeks of school left, ONLY 5 weeks!!! Where is the world did the time go? I really can't believe how fast 2 1/2 years went. I feel I have been in constant transition for the past 9.5 years and I am so excited that I am finally going to be done with school and settle into a career that I know is my calling. Now it's time to make the decision about where it is I want to settle. I have applied for jobs in Dallas and San Diego....but I just feel like Texas is the place I need to be, can't explain it, it's just a feeling. My brother and his wife are in Dallas but its going to be a new start all over again, new church, new city, new apartment, new job and new friends. It's scary and exciting all at the same time! Something I have found really comforting during this time of transition is the fact that God wants us to step out in faith and know that he has amazing things planned for us even when you are fearful.
This last semester of school has been so challenging, something I didn't expect at all. I have been attending weekend seminars of advanced course work and have realized there is just SO much to know about the body, it truly is endless. But I love it! I am really looking forward to what the future holds even during the scary transition time.

I witnessed a healing/miracle...

"There are different types of work to do, but the same God produces every gift in every person" 1 corn 12: 6
I am taking a class at the church I attend called Gifts of the Spirit. 1 Chorinthians 12 is the book in the bible that explains these gifts. One of the gifts from the holy spirit is the gift of healing
, Andy Kabula from Australia was the guest speaker actually has the gift of healing. He called out to the audience for anyone who had scoliosis or a leg length discrepancy to come forward. There were multiple people who went up to the front with these sort of problems.
Andy then asked anyone who has not witnessed a miracle to come forward which included me. I have never witnessed a miracle and wanted to see for myself. Once up front he asked again for someone who has not witnessed a miracle and I raised my hand. He pulled me up front and asked me to watch really closely as he made a girls legs that had at least 1 inch difference from right to left even. He asked me to yell into the microphone when I saw the legs move (a bit embarrassing to yell into a microphone in front of 100+ people, but I agreed anyways). As he began to pray over this girls legs one in each hand, they began to move!! They continued to move until they were even, RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES! I was only standing inches away. The girl then stood up and hugged me. She said that once he grabbed me form the audience her legs got warm and she knew she was going to be healed...I didn't do anything it was the holy spirit working through Andy, I just happen to be right there....She stated that she has been in pain for 7 or 9 years and went to a Chiropractor for years and nothing helped...( I was thinking, what about PT!??) anyways, she was healed and it was AMAZING!!
I know it might seem hard to believe but I witnessed this miracle first hand!!! Everything that was talked about that night was straight out of the bible. There are many many scriptures that talk about the power of the holy spirit. I look forward to the next two classes...
"There is only one Spirit who does all things by giving what God wants to give to each person" 1 corn 12:11

Where did the last 4 years go???

I can't believe my nephew Gage is already 4! Wow times flies.... I am almost a month late on posting this but I just haven't been in the bloggin mood...I still love to read others blogs though! I really can't believe that four years has passed already! Gage is such a blessing in our lives and I hate that I don't get to see him more often.
Gage made a funny comment, so I made him repeat it for this video! Funny kid!( my camera is scratched up from being in my purse all the time, not dirty!)

This is a recent piece of Gage's artwork. I like it because it looks like an abstract version of the sacrum, pelvis and lower extremities...I am definitely a nerd, I know this!

Wrap it up...

So I am coming down to my last week of my internship in Dallas...it's a bitter sweet feeling. I really like the Dallas area and I can't believe how fast 8 weeks has gone! I am ready to be done with my internship because it puts me one step closer to graduation and getting paid a real salary!Woohoo! I have yet to decide what I am going to do after I graduate...I am not sure of the area of PT I want to practice and don't know for sure where I want to live. I am leaning more toward the Dallas area because I have some family here and I am hoping my mom will move out here in a few years too. But the past few weeks I have had some more fun in Dallas...
Went out on a boat on Lewisville Lake...
Attempted Wakeboarding for the first time and love it!
Jenny came to Dallas for a visit!
Attended my first Shrimp Boil, yum!
Posed on a near by hay bale...
I finish my internship next Friday and then leave the following morning for San Diego. The drive will take me two days with a quick stop in El Paso for a night. Once I get back to SD I have exit exams 3 days later...talk about stressful! But I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

Who has time to study?!

My fear of coming out to Dallas for my last internship has in fact come true....I am having so much fun, I am so behind on studying for exit exams which are 2 days after I return to San Diego. Over the past few weeks I have:
Hung out by some cows, Kayaked at a near by lake,
Stunted in the swimming pool, Played at the park with Gage, Loved family visits & Celebrated Andy's 25th Birthday,Went Country dancing at a dive bar & have been meeting new friends, Enjoyed a picnic by the beautiful lake!
And not pictured, the awesome churches they have out here! I am absolutely impressed by the sizes and the amount of churches they have in the Dallas area.
NOW, time to get serious about studying....

Arrived in Dallas!

I will be in Plano/Dallas area completing an internship in outpatient orthopedics for the next 8 weeks. I have already completed my first three days and have Thursdays off which gave me some time to blog. I think I will like my internship, it might be a little laid back for me but I should take away some good experience from it. I am staying with my brother and his wife, they live in Plano in a nice area and home. I really like the area and have a lot more exploring to do! I also need to get a better understanding of how to get around, yet another time that proves I need an iphone. Anyway, my wonderful mommy drove with me, ok drove all but the last 10 miles from El Paso to Dallas with me and stayed for a few days. 4th of July we spent shopping, BBQ'ing, hit the local park for the firework show and then hung out with Andy's neighbors who party together often. Entertaining people...
Andy didn't want to mock, but ....."Ok, just one pic"

Professional or Not?

I am not a professional although this picture would make you think I am! I finally got a Macbook and I like that I can finally edit photos and I love the blur feature. I have always love taking pictures and next I want a better camera again. The nice camera I bought years back is a 35mm and then a year after I bought it, digital was big time. I took it to one of those ebay stores before I moved to SD to have them post it from me and the salesman told me that I would get about $50 for it...so needless to say I have a camera that I payed over $500 sitting in a closet at my mom's house. I rather it sit in a closet than only get 50 bucks for it! Maybe one day it will be an antique that will sit in one of my grandchildren' s closets.

Who would have thought!?!

I never thought I would ever get obsessed with a series of Fiction books....but it has happened. I am almost done with the second TWILIGHT BOOK, I can't believe that I LOVE IT! I have had the chance to read a lot the past 2 months and it's been nice to read for leisure for a change. I am even more impressed by the fact that people have actually read the series more than once! I mean it is really good but not sure I will go to that extreme. I just purchased the third and fourth book that I hear are really good too.
I am also glad that I didn't watch the movie first because I probably wouldn't have read the books. The book is SO much better than the movie. I have never been able to say that before because I would generally pick watching a movie over reading a book.  I can now appreciate how a book can be better than a movie.

The inevitable.

Cancer is a bad bad bad evil disease. I feel that it inevitable in one's life time and it needs to stop. I know that treatment has improved and is getting better but it can't be treated when doctors blow you off and tell you nothing is wrong "it's all in your head". That's another story and another blog....but this past weekend I participated in Relay for Life with some classmates of mine from school. I probably walked about 8 miles total but danced for 45 minutes and placed 3rd in a jump rope contest! We had a good time. I walked in memory of My Grandma and Grandpa Tweed who both passed away from complications with Multiple Myeloma cancer.

I had a great time and I am going to try and raise money next year! A video to come, just gotta figure out how to save it from facebook and put it on here!

23 Minutes in Hell

Click on this link http://www.cccsandiego.com, go to podcasts and it will open in itunes and click on the sermon 23 minutes in hell. It's a must hear...plus listen to all the other sermons too, and you will see why I love going to this church so much!

In loving memory of Grandma Tweed

On June 2, 2009 my Grandma Tweed, my mom's mom pasted away. There was a cascade of events that occurred since December which ended on June 2. My Grandma was a very health active person all of her life and was fortunate to only have to deal with illness for 6 months. She was a very outspoken and straight forward person which made me love being around her even more.  She was often misunderstood but in all reality she only wanted to best for her family. I see a lot of myself in her.
This picture was taken just 7 short months before this unfortunate loss. She always made sure she was accessorized with every hair in place and of coarse you can never wear too much blush!
She was buried right next to my Grandpa who passed away 5.5 yrs ago after a lifetime struggle with Type 1 Diabetes and then cancer. He was a hard working farmer since he was just a kid.
It's always nice to see family but it's too bad it had to be under these circumstances. This picture is of all my mom's siblings, my cousins and second cousins. We also got to see my  grandparents on my Dad's side and Auntie Karen ;) and Uncle Mark.
I really need to make more time to go and visit North Dakota more often. Some how life gets hectic but time should always be made for family. And of coarse my favorite part of the trip, I got to see the little cutie pie below.

Until we meet again in heaven.....she will be missed!!
