Just a seed.

I am also taking another class at church one night a week for the next 6 weeks and can you believe we have homework!? It's actually a good homework, the kind I actually like...we have a bible verse to memorize plus some other little things to do throughout the week. This weeks verse:

2 Cor 5: 18 – 20: Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through

Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in

Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has

committed to us the word of reconciliation.

I am the type of person that always asks why. I am very analytical and constantly questioning when I don't understand. I started to question why I had this experience a little over a month ago and wondered what this meant in my life. It didn't take long for me to realize how God was going to use me. The question has not been fully answered yet but from what I have experienced the past months or so, he is going to use me in my everyday life to pass on what I have learned when appropriate i.e. plant a seed. I have been able to plant seeds already in others lives and it's truly exciting. Nothing pushy just a seed.

Life-Defining Moments

I had a crazy experience at the beginning of April that kicked my butt in to what I had always said I was going to do....to get involved at church. I have been going to a church my whole life but the last few months I have learned more than the first 27 years of church attendance. I have been attending a connect group every other week with some people from church and I really look forward to those meetings, great people, laughs and growing in faith. We recently started to follow John Bevere and his "Honor's Reward" series/book.
The book is based on this verse: "Look to yourself, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward". It's so easy to go through our everyday lives dwelling on what we don't have verses focusing on what we do have. Someone in my group put it so clearly "It's like our own parent handing us a gift and in response we are like it's nice, but I really want something else more" kicking a gift horse in the mouth. I find myself doing these sort of things daily. I have always strived for the best but forget that I have been truly blessed in the "middle" on my way to the top too. When things are going great in life it's easy to forget who got you there and when things are going bad that's when we ask God why.
I am SO thankful that, that experience happened a little over a month ago because I have made so many changes in my life already and I am so excited about what the future has in store!!
More on John Bevere to come!

All Females:

READ THIS BOOK!
Married, in a relationship or single, it's a must read.

Daily eats

I look back on the way I ate for years and it makes me sick just thinking about it. I was a serious junk food junky and would eat fast food twice a day. I was lucky at the time to maintain my weight despite the way I ate. I am now a vegetarian and love it, it was difficult in the beginning coming up with meal idea that would actually fill me up or keep me satisfy. I eat the following almost daily:

I have completely changed my eating habits and I never thought it would be possible. I don't crave anything like I used to, only chocolate once a month :) It's time consuming and expensive to prepare the above, but has become routine. Now, If I could only kick my coffee and energy drink habit....I managed to get rid of the soda so maybe it's possible?! maybe...

Kansas City, Missouri-A

I luckily had a little break between the end of my 5th term of school and the start of my internship, so I was able to go visit my sister, my amazing nephew Gage and my Dad came out too. He changes SO much every time I see him...he is so incredibly smart! The little guy unfortunately fractured his arm AGAIN! I personally am a little worried that he has fractured his arm twice and he's only 3 1/2.

We went "camping" according to Gage...which was actually walking thru the grassy back area near their house. There was a lot of pretty nature and a lot of green which was nice to see.

We also went to the park.

I absolutely love this little guy!
